• President's Welcome

Hello and welcome to the Sigma Phi Epsilon, Maine Alpha website.  Founded at UMaine in 1948 and re-chartered in 2002, we are proud to be a positive presence on campus and in the community.  SigEp was founded on the idea that it would be different, and every day we aim to better ourselves in all aspects of life, striving to reach the healthy relationship between a Sound Mind and Sound Body.  We are proud to be the reigning intramural champions as well as to have the leading GPA on campus for the last 18 consecutive semesters.

Our brothers are active in all levels of campus and the community.  Brothers are members and leaders of Division I athletic teams, Student Government, IFC, Student Ambassadors, Engineers Without Borders, Sophomore Owls Honor Society, Senior Skull Honor Society, as well as dozens of other clubs and student organizations.

Please do not hesitate to ask any brother you see on campus wearing letters or our traditional red hoodie any questions you may have, or simply just to say hello.
